UK Caravan Values · 2026
How Much Is Your Caravan Really Worth?
A clear, trade-informed look at what UK touring caravans are selling for in 2026 — by age, brand, and condition. Use the ranges below to get a feel for your caravan’s value, then book a free, no-obligation valuation for an exact figure.
The short answer: in 2026, second-hand UK touring caravans typically sell for £1,000 to £30,000. A nearly-new (0–3 year-old) tourer from a premium brand can fetch £18,000–£25,000; a tidy 10+ year-old four-berth usually sits between £1,000 and £6,000. The figure your caravan actually achieves depends on age, brand, condition, paperwork, and timing.
Why trust this guide? Our price ranges are built from National Caravan Guide data, live UK auction figures, dealer-trade comparables, and 20 years of records from caravans we’ve physically inspected and purchased ourselves — not internet listing prices.
Section One
Average Caravan Prices by Age
The single biggest driver of caravan value is age. These ranges reflect what tidy, four-to-six-berth touring caravans from mainstream UK brands are selling for in 2026.
Nearly New
0–3 Years Old
Caravans under three years old still carry strong residual value, particularly from premium ranges like Bailey Phoenix+, Swift Challenger and Buccaneer. Expect first-year depreciation of 15–25%.
Mid-Age
4–10 Years Old
The sweet spot for second-hand buyers — modern features at sensible prices. Condition, damp history and service records become the deciding factors at this age.
Pre-Loved
10+ Years Old
Older caravans still have a healthy market, particularly at entry level. A well-maintained Elddis or Lunar from this era can still command £3,500–£5,500 if it’s clean and dry.
Section Two
Six Factors That Influence Caravan Value
When we value a caravan in person, these are the six things we’re checking. Together, they explain why two caravans from the same year can be £3,000 apart in price.
01
Age & Model Year
Newer caravans and currently-produced model lines retain value longest. Discontinued models tend to dip faster, regardless of condition.
02
Condition & Damp
A dry damp report and clean interior are the single biggest swing factor. Damp readings above 20% can wipe £1,500–£3,000 off the price.
03
Make & Specification
Bailey, Swift, Elddis, Buccaneer and Coachman tend to hold value strongest. Higher-spec fixed-bed and end-washroom layouts attract a premium.
04
Extras & Accessories
Motor movers, awnings, ATC stability control, solar panels and Alde heating typically add £400–£1,800 in trade value when fitted from new.
05
Service History
A full habitation service record (FSH), CRiS registration and a recent damp report can add £500–£2,000 and significantly speed up the sale.
06
Market Demand
Caravan prices peak from late February through July. Selling in autumn and winter typically returns 5–10% less, though demand stays steady year-round.
Section Three
Caravan Prices by Brand
Brand has a meaningful effect on resale price. Here’s how the most-sought-after UK caravan manufacturers tend to sit in 2026, based on caravans we’ve recently purchased and current trade auction data.
| Brand | Typical Price Range | What we see in the trade |
|---|---|---|
| BaileyPhoenix+, Pegasus, Unicorn, Alicanto | £8,000 – £20,000 | Strong residual values, particularly the Unicorn and Alicanto Grande ranges. Five-to-eight-year-old Pegasus models stay in demand. |
| SwiftChallenger, Sprite, Elegance, Conqueror | £9,000 – £22,000 | Premium Conqueror and Elegance ranges fetch the most. Sprite is the volume seller — fast moving but tighter margins on value. |
| ElddisAvanté, Crusader, Affinity | £7,000 – £18,000 | SoLiD-bonded construction (post-2014) holds value best. Crusader twin-axles are particularly steady on price. |
| BuccaneerAruba, Bermuda, Cruiser, Galera | £15,000 – £30,000 | Top of the UK touring market — twin-axle luxury models from this brand consistently command the highest second-hand prices. |
| CoachmanVIP, Acadia, Laser, Lusso | £10,000 – £24,000 | Reputation for build quality keeps demand strong. Acadia models are particularly easy to move on. |
| LunarClubman, Quasar, Delta | £5,500 – £14,000 | Production ended in 2019 so prices have stabilised. Clean, post-2015 Clubmans remain very saleable. |
| HobbyPremium, De Luxe, Excellent | £6,500 – £19,000 | German build quality earns a steady premium in the UK. End-washroom layouts most in demand. |
Section Four
When Is the Best Time to Sell?
Caravan prices follow a clear seasonal rhythm. From our purchasing records, demand picks up sharply from mid-February as buyers prepare for the spring touring season, peaks in March and April, and stays strong through July.
August onwards sees demand soften as families return from holidays and attention shifts to winter. November to January is the slowest stretch — sellers in these months typically accept around 5–10% less than they’d get in spring. That said, we buy year-round at competitive prices. If timing isn’t on your side, we’ll still pay fairly — winter just means we might be one of the few firm offers on the table.

Our Methodology
How Vincent Leisure Values Your Caravan
Most online price guides give you a number. We give you a number we’ll actually pay. Here’s how our valuations differ from listing-based estimates.
Real trade data, not listings
We start with National Caravan Guide figures and cross-reference UK auction results — the prices caravans actually sell for, not what they’re advertised at.
20 years of records
Every caravan we’ve bought since 2001 is logged in our own valuation database. That’s hundreds of comparable sales we draw on for every quote — more granular than any public guide.
Live regional demand
We factor in current buyer demand across the UK — by region, by layout, by berth count — so the offer reflects what your specific caravan is worth this month, not last quarter.
Section Five
Five Ways to Maximise Your Caravan’s Value
Small things make a real difference. Here’s what we routinely see add hundreds — sometimes thousands — to a caravan’s final sale price.
1
Get a recent damp report
A damp test from a NCC-approved workshop in the last 12 months is worth its weight in gold. It removes the biggest single point of buyer hesitation and can add £500–£1,500 to your offer.
2
Gather every document
Service records, original handbooks, receipts for upgrades, CRiS document, any warranty paperwork. Buyers — and the trade — pay more when there’s nothing to fill in or chase up.
3
Present it like you’d buy it
A proper deep clean inside and out, soft furnishings washed, exterior polished. First impressions count — a tatty caravan loses 5–10% before anyone has even checked the spec.
4
Time the sale if you can
If there’s no rush, target March–May. Selling in early spring will typically return 5–10% more than the same caravan in November.
5
Be honest about faults
Hiding issues backfires — the trade always finds them, and they cost more to find late than to declare upfront. Honest, accurate descriptions get cleaner, faster offers.

Frequently Asked
Your Caravan Pricing Questions, Answered
The questions we hear most often from caravan sellers across the UK.
How much is my caravan worth in the UK?+
Most second-hand UK caravans sit between £1,000 and £30,000 depending on age, brand, condition, and extras. A nearly-new two-year-old Bailey or Swift in clean condition might fetch £18,000–£22,000, while a tidy 12-year-old four-berth typically sits between £3,000 and £5,500.
The price ranges in our guide above will get you in the right ballpark. For an exact figure, request a free Vincent Leisure valuation — we’ll give you a written offer within 24 hours.
Do caravans hold their value?+
Caravans depreciate fastest in the first three years — typically 15–25% in year one and another 8–12% per year after that. From around year five onwards, depreciation slows considerably.
Well-maintained caravans from sought-after brands such as Bailey, Swift, Coachman and Buccaneer can hold their value for a decade or more, particularly if they have a full service history and a clean damp record.
How accurate are online caravan price guides?+
Generic online price guides give a useful starting point, but they have a limitation: they rely on listing prices, not sale prices. Listing prices are usually 10–15% higher than what a caravan actually sells for, because sellers build in negotiating room.
Our valuations combine National Caravan Guide data with live UK auction figures and 20+ years of trade purchasing — so the figure we quote is the figure we pay.
When is the best time to sell a caravan?+
Buyer demand is strongest from late February to July, with March and April typically delivering the best offers. Selling in autumn or winter is still viable, but expect offers to be 5–10% lower on average.
At Vincent Leisure we buy year-round, so timing is a guide rather than a barrier — if you need a quick sale in November, we’ll still pay a fair, current trade price.
Will I get a better price selling privately or to a dealer?+
A successful private sale can return 5–10% more than a trade sale — but it usually takes 4–12 weeks, involves time-wasters, viewings, test-tows and the risk of post-sale disputes about damp or faults.
Selling to Vincent Leisure is typically completed within 24–48 hours: written offer, free UK collection, instant bank transfer or cash, and no comeback risk. For most sellers, the time saved more than offsets the small price difference.
Does service history affect a caravan’s value?+
Yes — a full service history (FSH) and a recent damp report can add £500–£2,000 to a caravan’s market value. Records of habitation servicing, gas safety checks, and any major repairs reassure buyers and reduce the perceived risk.
If you don’t have a full history, don’t worry — we buy caravans with partial or missing records too. Just expect the figure to reflect that.
Do you buy caravans with damp or damage?+
Yes. We buy caravans in any condition — including those with damp, water ingress, accident damage, or end-of-life issues. The valuation will reflect the work needed, but you’ll always get a fair, honest offer with free UK collection included.
