Is the valuation really free?
Yes. There’s no charge for the valuation and no obligation to sell. Plenty of owners request a valuation just to know where they stand — that’s fine, and you won’t get badgered with follow-up calls if you decide not to proceed.
How long does a valuation take?
From form submission to written valuation, typically within 24 hours during the working week. If you submit on a Sunday evening, expect a response by Tuesday morning. For genuinely urgent cases, call James directly on 01282 932161 and we’ll usually turn a valuation around the same day.
What information do I need to submit?
The essentials: make, model, year, berth count, and a brief honest description of condition (any damp readings, damage, mileage for motorhomes). Your postcode helps us scope collection. Photos aren’t essential but speed the process up — three or four shots covering exterior, interior and any known issues is plenty.
How accurate is your free valuation?
Very accurate, provided the details you give us are accurate. We use the same trade pricing data dealers use, combined with 20+ years of first-hand market experience. If you give us complete information — including any damp, damage or mechanical issues — the valuation we quote is the price we’ll pay on collection.
Will I get the valuation in writing?
Yes. Every valuation we send is in writing (email by default) and itemised against the factors that drove the figure — age, condition, brand demand, paperwork. You’re free to use it as a benchmark against other offers; no pressure either way.
Can you give me a ballpark figure over the phone?
For a rough range, yes — James can usually give you a phone estimate if you call 01282 932161 with the make, model, year and condition to hand. The written 24-hour valuation will always be the more accurate figure, but a phone ballpark is fine if you just want a quick steer before deciding whether to send full details.
Can I get a valuation if my caravan or motorhome is in storage?
Yes. Tell us where it is when you submit the form and we’ll arrange collection from the storage compound or site at a time that works for you. We handle the access logistics — you don’t need to be on-site if the site permits otherwise.
Does my caravan need to be cleaned and ready for the valuation?
Not for the valuation itself — we work from the details you provide. By collection day it’s worth a quick clean and clear-out (personal items, fridge contents, awning, anything you want to keep) but presentation doesn’t change the figure we agreed. We’re buying for trade, not retail.
